institutions providing driver education in
classroom (many schools also provide
online driver's education or booklet courses)
and behindthe wheel training to the general public and those interested in working as
professional driving instructors.
---
All private Driving Schools in California are inspected and authorized by the
Departmentof Motor Vehicles (DMV).
All school operations must be certified by the DMV by way
of examinations to proof their training, knowledge and skills
required to teach ,
according to DMV specifications.

All facilities, instructors permits, vehicle safety and required insurance
policies are constantly being monitored by the department, in order
to issue or to renew
operations as driving schools.

DSAC
(Driving Schools Association of California)
----
Other
good source for information concerning
Driving Schools is the California Association
that represents some
driving schools (not all but at least a good
number of members schools). Here you will also
find a database that
will provide you with more information including
that some schools have website or WebPages at
the DSAC to get
info on services and locations. Please
click here to check DSAC database
Very important is the fact that DSAC ask to all public, members and
non member
to report "inadequate driver education" and they
ask you to help on this matter.
You can help, by providing information on each
incident or example of inadequate driver
education or driver training. Please provide
any specific information you may have.
